NAV has dropped his long-awaited new album “OMW2 Rexdale”, his fifth studio album, and the follow-up to 2022’s “Demons Protected By Angels”.
The 14-track album – executive produced by NAV alongside Amir “Cash” Esmailian – includes the lead single “REAL ME” featuring Metro Boomin along with the tracks “UNLIMITED” featuring Playboi Carti (plus vocals by The Weeknd) and “YOU” with Don Toliver.
In an interview with XXLMag, the Canadian artist shared if he considers this album a homecoming: “Yes, I do, but it’s not me going back to my old ways, creatively. It’s more so me going back to where I came from with a new perspective [as] a more mature version of myself and creating a new version of that sound, not just duplicating what I did before, which sometimes a lot of fans want you to do. I even had a film crew come with me at my mom’s house, to my bedroom, where I used to make all my music in my early days and we set up in there. I made a song, and we recorded the whole process. It’s going to be on the album. [It’s] to bring that nostalgia back.”
